Sealed observation

More context for your writing session.

Sealed observation adds available signals about the environment to the session: running processes, visible app launches and exits, and network-path status. These details add context to the record.

01

Choose additional observation deliberately.

Enable the mode before starting a session. It supplements the captured writing signals with available environmental information and known automation indicators. The export can therefore also contain identifiers of other applications.

02

Distinguish observation from enforcement.

The sealedObservation mode describes telemetry. It does not block applications or network traffic, and does not establish a fully controlled assessment environment. The record continues to use the localObservation profile.

03

Match the scope to your procedure.

Consider which additional data your purpose requires and who may see it. For a controlled workstation, specific restrictions, permissions and device configurations each need separate verification. Include those requirements in the operating agreement.
